Cookie policy
Last updated 19 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Bluevibe uses as few as possible: we don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't use analytics. This page lists every cookie we set, what it is for, and how to change your choices.
You can change your choices at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every forum page, or in the menu under Help. The same choices apply to both the classic and the new version of the forum.
Strictly necessary
These are needed for the forum to work, such as keeping you signed in. They are always on.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| AuthToken, Username, SiteId | Keep you signed in. | Until you close your browser, or 1 year if you tick "Remember my log in" | Bluevibe |
| bv_session | Keeps you signed in to the new version of the forum. | Until you close your browser, or 1 year if you tick "Remember me" | Bluevibe |
| bv_consent | Remembers the cookie choices you make here. | 1 year | Bluevibe |
Preferences
These remember choices that make the forum easier to use. They are on unless you switch them off in cookie settings, or choose "Reject non-essential".
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| ForumId | Remembers the forum you last viewed, so it opens first next time. | 1 year, or until you close your browser if you switch preferences off | Bluevibe |
Google reCAPTCHA
This is off unless you allow it. If you open the feedback form without allowing it, you'll be asked first. Google receives information about your device and browser when reCAPTCHA runs. See Google's privacy policy.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| _GRECAPTCHA and other Google cookies | Google reCAPTCHA checks that the feedback form is being sent by a person, not a spam robot. It is only loaded when you open the feedback form. | Set by Google (typically up to 6 months) |
Content from other websites
Members sometimes include pictures hosted on other websites in their posts. When you view those posts, your browser fetches the pictures from those websites, which may set their own cookies. We don't control those cookies.
Removing cookies
Switching a category off stops us setting those cookies from then on. To remove cookies already saved, including Google's, use your browser's settings to clear cookies for this site. Clearing the sign-in cookies will sign you out.
